Allison Hayes was a movie actress born on March 6, 1930 in West Virginia. She is best known for her portrayal of a Southern belle in the 1955 film “Count Three and Pray,” as well as her role in the 1958 B-movie “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.” Hayes also made appearances on television shows such as “The Rough Riders,” “Rawhide,” and “77 Sunset Strip.”
Prior to pursuing acting, she held the title of Miss District of Columbia and competed in the Miss America beauty pageant in 1949.
Hayes developed a close friendship with actor Raymond Burr, who helped secure her guest appearances on his popular show “Perry Mason.”
She grew up under the name Mary Jane Hayes in Charleston, West Virginia. Tragically, Hayes passed away at age forty-six due to leukemia or potentially lead poisoning from a nutritional supplement she had been taking. Her untimely death occurred in San Diego, California.
