About Alison Riske
Alison Riske is an American professional tennis player with an impressive resume. After a stellar 2009 that saw her world ranking skyrocket, she gave up her Vanderbilt University scholarship and made her pro debut. Before that, she was already making waves on the ITF Circuit for both singles and doubles play. She cemented her status as a champion in October 2014 when she won the Tianjin Open for her first WTA tour victory. It all began at Peters Township High School though, where she earned a Pennsylvania State Championship as part of their girls’ tennis team. She even pulled off one of the biggest upsets in recent memory at the 2013 U.S. Open when she beat then-Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in round three! Alison comes from an athletically-inclined family; with mom Carol being a school teacher and dad Al working as an FBI investigator, while siblings Dan and Sarah both played college tennis too!
