Alice Moore Hubbard (June 7, 1861 – died ca. May 1915) was an American author and feminist known for her novels such as “Woman’s Work” (1908) and “The Basis of Marriage” (1910). She co-authored “Justinian and Theodora” in 1906 with her husband, Elbert Hubbard. Prior to her writing career, she worked as a schoolteacher in New York. A prominent figure in the Roycroft arts and crafts movement, she married Elbert Hubbard after giving birth to his illegitimate daughter. Tragically, both Alice Moore Hubbard and her husband died while traveling by sea to Europe to cover events of the First World War.
