Alia Atkinson is a Jamaican swimmer who was born on December 11, 1988 in Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica. She is known for her participation in the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics as well as other prestigious swimming competitions.
Prior to her rise to fame, Atkinson teamed up with coach Chris Anderson in 2001, an instrumental partnership that helped kickstart her successful career as a swimmer. Notably, she achieved first place in the 200 Breaststroke at the 2010 NCAA Championships while swimming for Texas A&M.
