Alexis Krauss (born September 27, 1985) is a rock singer hailing from Manasquan, New Jersey. She is best known as the lead vocalist of the noise pop band Sleigh Bells, which has released several acclaimed albums including Treats, Reign of Terror, Bitter Rivals and Jessica Rabbit.
Aside from her music career, Krauss co-founded the beauty blog Beauty Lies Truth in August 2014. Before gaining fame as a musician and blogger, she was involved in musical theater from the age of nine until she was sixteen and later joined a teen group called RubyBlue. She pursued an education in international studies at Marymount Manhattan College.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Krauss previously worked as an elementary school teacher for two years and holds New York State certificates in elementary and bilingual education.
