Alba August is a Danish TV actress known for her roles in both feature films and television series. She was born on June 6, 1993, in Copenhagen, Denmark. With a family deeply involved in the film industry, August developed an interest and passion for acting at a young age.
August made her debut performance with a minor role in her father’s film A Song for Martin as a child. In 2014, she made her feature film debut as Lena in The Legacy. Her most notable role to date is playing the lead character Simone in the 2018 Netflix original series The Rain.
In 2018, Alba August won the EFP Shooting Star award at the Berlin International Film Festival. She comes from an artistic family; Alba is the daughter of director Bille August and actress Pernilla August.
