About Akua Dansua
Akua Dansua, born on April 23, 1958, in Hohoe, Ghana, is a politician and journalist. She began her political career as a member of the Ghana Parliament in January 2000.
Prior to her work in politics, she served as an Electoral Assistant for the Electoral Commission of Ghana from 1979 to1980 and later worked as Chief Reporter for the Nigerian Reporter newspaper from 1983 to1987.
In 2009 she was appointed Minister for Women and Children’s Affairs before accepting the position of Minister for Youth and Sports in2010.
She has been married, divorced, and is a mother of three children.
