Aishwarya Rajinikanth, born on January 1, 1982 in Chennai, India, is an East Indian film director and playback singer known for her work in Tamil cinema. She is the elder daughter of renowned actor Rajinikanth. With a massive fan following of 1 million on Facebook and 800,000 on Instagram,
Rajinikanth began her career in the Tamil film industry as a playback singer in the unreleased film Ramanaa directed by Parthy Bhaskar. One of her noteworthy achievements includes directing the 2012 film 3, which featured the viral hit song “Why This Kolaveri Di” from its soundtrack composed by her cousin Anirudh Ravichander.
Born to actor Rajinikanth and Latha Rangachari, Aishwarya has a younger sister named Soundarya who also works in the Kollywood film industry. In 2002 she married Indian film actor Dhanush with whom she has two sons; however, they briefly separated in January 2022.
