Aiko Melendez, born on December 16, 1975 in Quezon City, Philippines, is a well-known TV actress. She gained fame for her extended role in the television series Reputasyon as well as leading roles in films such as Asintado and Loving Someone (1993).
Prior to her rise to fame, Melendez was discovered by the Philippine company Regal Films in the 1980s and made her debut on the television show Anna Liza in 1981.
Notably, she ran for councillor in the Quezon City barangay elections in 2003 and served until 2008.
Melendez was born to Elsie Blardony and actor Jimi Melendez. She has three siblings: Jam, Michiko, and Ericka. Her first marriage was to Jomari Yllana from 2000 to 2003 with whom she shares a son named Andre. She then married Martin Jickain in 2006 but they divorced in 2010. Together they had a daughter named Marthena.
