About Adhithya Ramachandran Venkatapathy
Adhithya Ramachandran Venkatapathy (born February 20, 1990) is an Indian R&B singer hailing from Coimbatore, India. He is best known as one half of the musical duo Hiphop Tamizha along with Jeeva R. The pair gained recognition after releasing their debut eponymous album in 2012 and have since been involved in providing film scores and soundtracks for movies such as Indru Netru Naalai, Thani Oruvan, and Kathakali.
Venkatapathy’s interest in hip hop music was ignited during his tenth grade years. His passion led him to start uploading rap songs online, eventually transitioning into Tamil rap music at the encouragement of his fans.
Despite pursuing a career in music, Venkatapathy completed a degree in electrical engineering from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology and later went on to earn an MBA from the University of Madras before obtaining a Ph.D. at Bharathiar University.
Born to parents without a musical background, his father worked at Bharathiar University while his mother was employed in agriculture.
