Ada Louise Huxtable (born March 14, 1921) is an American journalist known for her work as an architecture critic. She was the first to win the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 1970.
Prior to gaining renown, Huxtable served as the Curatorial Assistant for Architecture and Design at the Museum of Modern Art in New York for four years.
Huxtable has been described by architect Robert A. M. Stern as a “great lover of cities” and “a great preservationist,” who held a central position in the world of critics.
