Connie Crothers was a renowned jazz pianist, born on May 2, 1941 in Palo Alto, California. She gained recognition for her exceptional talent and was trained by the esteemed jazz musician Lennie Tristano, who regarded her as an original artist. Crothers’ musical journey started at a young age with classical piano studies beginning at nine years old. However, she veered away from this path when she turned 15.

In April 2001, Harvard University honored Crothers with the title of Jazz Master, acknowledging her significant contributions to the genre. Her family background revealed that she was born to George Justin and Jeanne Fahey, who herself was a singer.
