Christine Baranski, born on May 2, 1952 in Buffalo, New York, is a renowned movie actress. She is an Emmy Award-winning actress known for her roles in The Bird Cage, The Big Bang Theory, The Good Wife and its spin-off The Good Fight. Her other notable credits include Chicago, Into the Woods, and Addams Family Values.

Prior to her fame, she made her Broadway debut in 1980 in Hide & Seek. Baranski has been recognized with nominations for awards for her performances in Chicago and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

In 1983 she married Matthew Cowles who passed away in 2014; together they have two daughters.
