Bulent Ersoy Feet
Bülent Ersoy is a Turkish transgender vocalist born on June 9, 1952 in Istanbul, Turkey. She is known for her performances of Ottoman classical songs such as “Geceler” and “Bir Tanriyi Bir de Beni Sakın Unutma.” With nearly twenty-five albums released between 1976 and 2011, she has made a significant impact on the world music scene.
Prior to her career as a singer, Bülent Ersoy started out as a male vocalist and actor before undergoing a sex reassignment procedure in 1981. Additionally, she appeared in several Turkish films while living in Germany.
Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Bülent Ersoy continues to be celebrated for her contributions to the music industry both at home and abroad.
