Beatrice Potter Webb Feet
Beatrice Potter Webb was an English Baroness, socialist reformer, and economic theorist. She is best known for her role in helping to form the Fabian Society. Before gaining fame, she and her cousin, Charles Booth, conducted a sociological study of London’s East End slums during the 1880s. In addition to her activism, Webb and her husband played a significant role in establishing the London School of Economics and Political Science. She was married to Sidney Webb, who was granted the title of Baron Passfield in the late 1920s.
