Beatrice Eli, born on January 9th, 1987 in Stockholm, Sweden, is a Swedish pop singer known for her feminist and sometimes sexually explicit lyrics that reflect her experiences as a gay woman. Her debut album Die Another Day achieved success by charting in the top 25 in her native Sweden.

Prior to gaining public recognition, she released her first EP titled It’s Over in 2012 which garnered attention especially due to the single “The Conquerer.” Eli’s upbringing was within a Christian household which she has stated significantly impacted her outspoken and rebellious style. She came out as gay in her mid-20s after previously identifying as bisexual during adolescence.
