Amy Freeze (born June 19, 1974) is an American meteorologist and TV show host. She made history by becoming the first female chief meteorologist for the Chicago-based radio station WFLD from 2007 to 2011 and has since appeared on Good Morning America. Her work in broadcasting has earned her multiple National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy Awards.
Before her career as a meteorologist, Freeze was a cheerleader at Brigham Young University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. She then went on to earn a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her professional achievements, Freeze is also known for winning $100,000 with her husband in a weight loss contest in 1999. She is the oldest of five daughters born to Linda and Bill Freeze and has four children with chiropractor Gary Arbuckle whom she married in 1994: Kate, Jared, Tyler, and William.
