About Zild Benitez
Zild Benitez, born on April 23, 1997 in the Philippines, is a renowned bassist, songwriter and vocalist known for his work as a founding member of the Filipino funk band IV of Spades. The group has garnered widespread acclaim for their throwback sound and distinctive aesthetic, influenced by American funk and soul artists from the 70s and 80s.
Prior to rising to fame with IV of Spades, Zild was recruited by Allan Silonga, the band’s manager and father of its guitarist Blaster Silonga. Notably, he emerged victorious in the bass division of Music Hero, a television competition hosted by Eat Bulaga.
In August 2020, Zild released his debut solo album titled “Homework Machine,” showcasing his musical prowess beyond his collaborative endeavors. He also maintains a relationship with singer Shanne Dandan; additionally participating in joint musical projects with her.
