About Yolande Bavan
Yolande Bavan is a Sri Lankan jazz singer and actress, born on June 1, 1942. She gained recognition as the replacement for Annie Ross in the group Lambert, Hendricks & Ross in 1962. Before her fame, she performed and toured with Graeme Bell’s band. In addition to her work with Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, she contributed vocals to Weather Report’s 1972 album “I Sing the Body Electric.” Bavan hails from a family with roots in Ceylon.
