Wong Mew Choo is a renowned badminton player, born on May 1, 1983, in Ipoh, Malaysia. She gained recognition for her achievements in the sport, notably winning the 2010 Commonwealth Games – Mixed team and reaching the semi-finals at the German Grand Prix Gold in 2011.
Prior to her professional career, Wong Mew Choo secured a gold medal at the 2003 Southeast Asian Games Badminton Women’s Singles event. She also reached the second round of the 2005 World Badminton Championships held in Anaheim.
In 2012, she married badminton star Lee Chong Wei.
