About Wendy MacNaughton
Wendy MacNaughton (born November 3, 1977) is an illustrator and graphic journalist from San Francisco, California. She has gained fame for illustrating, authoring, and editing a number of successful books. In 2019, she worked as an illustrator for the New York Times coverage of the Guantanamo Military Commissions. Her popular wendymac Instagram account has amassed over 140,000 followers where she posts examples of her work.
MacNaughton earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from ArtCenter College of Design in 1999 before moving to Africa to work in advertising. She later returned to the United States and has been working as a full-time illustrator since 2010. In 2011, she received the Outstanding Service Alumni Award from the ArtCenter College of Design.
She is married to Caroline Paul and they have a dog named Suso.
