Welwitschea Jose dos Santos, born on December 4, 1978 in Angola, is a prominent Angolan politician and businesswoman who is more commonly known as Tchize dos Santos. She notably founded the Angolan version of the international magazine CARAS and served as the president of the soccer club Benfica de Luanda. Dos Santos was also recognized as the top sports manager in Angola.
Dos Santos received a degree in communication from London Regent’s University before embarking on her political career. She was elected to the National Assembly in 2007 and subsequently re-elected in both 2012 and 2017.
Dos Santos comes from a notable family—her father, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, served as the second president of Angola for an extended period spanning 38 years until his passing in July 2022.
