Waje Iruobe, born on September 1st, 1980 in Akure, Nigeria, is a renowned Nigerian R&B singer. She gained fame after her guest appearance on the hit P-Square track “Do Me” and continued to find success with solo singles like “Strong Girl.” Waje is well-known for her impressive vocal range spanning three octaves.
Prior to her music career, Waje sang in the choir at the Word of Faith group of schools and later obtained a degree in social work from the University of Nigeria. In 2014, she made her acting debut playing Sade in the drama film Tunnel. Her real name is Aituaje Iruobe, and she has a daughter named Emerald. Additionally, Waje’s sister is actress Amaka Iruobe.
