Vicky Karayiannis (born August 14, 1978) is an American publicist and philanthropist, best known for her marriage to the late singer Chris Cornell. The couple married in France in 2004 and together founded the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting needy and homeless children.
Before becoming widely known as the wife of Chris Cornell, Vicky Karayiannis worked as a publicist. She met her husband while he was touring in France in 2003.
Following her husband’s passing in May 2017, she has continued to honor his legacy through the foundation they established together. On the fifth anniversary of his death in May 2022, she publicly expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering love and support.
Vicky Karayiannis is also a devoted mother to her two children with Chris Cornell – Toni Cornell and Christopher Nicholas Cornell – as well as stepmother to their half-sister Lillian Jean Cornell. Her mother’s name is Toni Karayiannis.
