About Valeriya
Valeriya, born on April 17, 1968 in Russia, is an award-winning pop singer who made her debut in 1992 with the albums “Pobud’ so Mnoi” and “The Taiga Symphony.” Over the course of her career, she has released more than a dozen albums. Before achieving fame as a singer, she studied piano at her local music school as a child and later graduated from the Gnesin Academy of Music in 1990.
In addition to her music career, Valeriya has authored books including the autobiography “Life, Tears and Love” in 2006 and the fitness book “Yoga with Valeriya” in 2010. She comes from a family of classical musicians: her father Yuri Ivanovich was a director while her mother Galina Nikolaevna was a teacher at their local music school. Valeriya was married to Alexander Shulgin from 1993 to 2002 before marrying Iosif Prigozhin in 2004. She has three children: Anna, Arseny, and Artemy.
