Trisha Meili, born on June 24, 1960 in the United States, is a prominent figure known for her involvement in the Central Park 5 case. Portrayed by Alexandra Templer in the Netflix series “When They See Us,” she gained widespread recognition and subsequently published the memoir “I Am the Central Park Jogger: A Story of Hope and Possibility.”
Prior to this life-altering event, Meili worked as an investment banker until she was traumatized on April 19, 1989. Despite her ordeal, she continued running and eventually joined a team of runners with disabilities. She later became involved with supporting survivors of sexual assault at Mount Sinai Hospital.
In addition to these accomplishments, she competed in the New York Marathon in 1995. Meili hails from New York and married in 1995.
