About Teni Adeola
Teni Adeola is a Nigerian fashion designer known for her brand Slashed by Tia, which she founded in her dorm room in 2017. She has gained recognition for creating custom pieces for celebrities like Kali Uchis and Alexis Jae, drawing inspiration from the Renaissance period.
Before rising to prominence, she interned with Nigerian designer Ituen Basi at the age of 13 and later moved to New York at 18. In May 2019, she graduated from The New School at Parsons School of Design with a Bachelor’s degree in Culture and Media.
Her multicultural background shines through in her creations as she integrates fabrics from her mother’s traditions into her designs. Adeola continues to make a mark on the fashion industry with her unique style and innovative approach.
