About Telusa Veainu
Telusa Veainu is a New Zealand-born Tongan international outside back who joined the Leicester Tigers of the Aviva Premiership in 2015. He’d previously played in Super Rugby with the Highlanders, Crusaders, and Rebels. He grew up representing Canterbury in provincial matches, playing for their U16, U18, and U19 teams before joining the senior side in 2010. Veainu played for New Zealand’s national team at the U20 level but joined Tonga for the 2015 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup.
Veainu was born on December 26, 1990, in Kawakawa, New Zealand. He attended school in Christchurch on South Island.
