About Tegan Nox
Tegan Nox, born Stephanie Newell on November 15th, 1994 in Bargoed, Wales, is a professional wrestler currently signed with the WWE. She competes primarily in their NXT brand and has faced off against notable opponents such as Lana Austin, Mercedes Martinez, and Vanessa Borne.
Before pursuing wrestling, Nox was involved in football during her youth and even participated in trials for Cardiff City and the Welsh national team. However, at age 13 she sustained a knee injury that prevented her from securing a spot on the Wales Under-16 team. Despite this setback, she later discovered a pro-wrestling school in Port Talbot where she began training under Dave Stewart and “Wild Boar” Mike Hitchman.
In 2018 upon joining NXT, Nox adopted the ring name Tegan Nox as part of her professional persona. She has attributed her interest in wrestling to her late grandfather who provided encouragement for her career choice.
