About Taylor Cummings
Taylor Cummings (born June 2, 1994) is a lacrosse player from Maryland. She gained recognition as a midfielder for the University of Maryland by winning the Tewaaraton Trophy three consecutive years in 2014, 2015 and 2016. This achievement was accompanied by her contributions to leading the Terrapins to two National Championships.
Prior to her collegiate career, Cummings received several accolades in high school including being named the Baltimore Sun Athlete of the Year and Lacrosse Player of the Year. She also earned titles such as Lacrosse Magazine National and Mid-Atlantic Player of the Year.
She joined the US National team from 2015-2016, showcasing further prowess in her sport which led to her nomination for a Best Female College Athlete ESPY Award in 2015.
Cummings comes from an athletically inclined family where her younger sister, Kelsey, also played for the Maryland women’s lacrosse team. Her parents are Carol Cummings and Michael Cummings.
