About Tatyana Kazankina
Tatyana Kazankina (born December 17, 1951) is a Russian runner who achieved great success in her career. She won three Olympic gold medals in the 800 meter and 1500 meter races.
Prior to her athletic career, Kazankina studied Economics at Leningrad State University and successfully graduated in 1975.
She made history by becoming the first woman to run 1500 meters in under four minutes at the 1976 Olympics. In 1983, she married Yann Kazankina.
