About Svetlana Krivelyova
Svetlana Krivelyova (born June 13, 1969) is a Russian shot putter and Olympic gold medalist. She achieved success by winning the gold in the shot put at the 1992 Barcelona games. Before her fame, she won a bronze medal at the 1991 World Championships.In addition to her Olympic achievements, Krivelyova faced controversy when her second gold medal in 2004 was stripped after testing positive for steroids. Krivelyova hails from Russia and comes from an athletic family, as her sister Olga also competed in track and field but never made it to the Olympics.
