About Susie Castillo
Susie Castillo, born on October 27, 1979 in Methuen, Massachusetts, is a model, beauty queen and TV host. She gained fame after winning the Miss USA pageant in 2003. Following her victory, she hosted several television shows including Total Request Live, America’s Prom Queen and Superstars of Dance.
Before gaining recognition in the pageantry world, Castillo began modeling at the age of 16 and later won the title of Miss Massachusetts Teen USA in 1998.
She achieved further success by finishing as a semi-finalist in the Miss Universe competition in 2003 and landing a role as Mercedes Hernandez on House of Payne.
In her personal life, Castillo married Matthew Leslie in 2006 and comes from Puerto Rican and Dominican heritage.
