About Susan Musgrave
Susan Musgrave, born on March 12, 1951 in California, is a Canadian poet and children’s author. She gained recognition for her Governor General’s Award-nominated poetry collection “A Man to Marry, A Man to Bury”. Additionally, Musgrave has written works of children’s literature such as “Hag Head” and “Dreams are More Real than Bathtubs”.
Having been born to Canadian parents in central California, she later settled in British Columbia, Canada. Notably, she taught in the University of British Columbia’s Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing.
Musgrave is also known for her family life; her husband Stephen Reid is an author and former member of the infamous Stopwatch Gang who was convicted of bank robbery.
