About Stephanie Williams
Stephanie Williams is an Australian ballet dancer and filmmaker, born on September 22, 1987. She began her professional career at the Australian Ballet school and later danced with the Australian Ballet before joining the Dutch National Ballet in 2011. In 2012, she became a member of the corps de ballet at the American Ballet Theater.
Besides her dancing career, Stephanie is also one half of the creative duo Palm Face, which combines filmmaking, photography, dance, and choreography.
Stephanie started studying ballet at age eight with Marie Walton-Mahon and went on to graduate from the Australian Ballet school in 2006. In 2009, she was honored with both the Telstra Ballet Dancer Award and Telstra People’s Choice Award.
Stephanie’s Instagram account “wheresmytutu” showcases dance portraits as well as work from Palm Face and family portraits and has gathered over 10,000 followers. She welcomed her son Taylor Edward Petersen into the world on January 7th, 2021.
