About Stella Rimington
Stella Rimington, born on May 13, 1935 in England, is a renowned novelist and former director of MI5, the United Kingdom’s primary intelligence organization. Her vast knowledge from her time at MI5 has been instrumental in writing gripping crime thrillers such as At Risk, Illegal Action, and The Geneva Trap.
Prior to her fame as a novelist, Rimington worked as an au pair in Paris before studying English at the University of Edinburgh. She joined MI5 in 1967 and served until 1996.
Rimington grew up in London and Essex, England and married John Rimington in 1961.
