About Stacy Barthe
Stacy Barthe, born on July 19, 1985 in Brooklyn, New York, is an R&B singer and songwriter known for her work on hit tracks such as Katy Perry‘s “Hummingbird Heartbeat” and Rihanna‘s “Cheers (Drink to That).” She released a series of EPs starting in 2010 before dropping her debut full-length album, BEcoming, in 2015.
Prior to her musical success, Barthe spent much of her early life in Haiti before relocating with her family around New York City. She gained valuable experience through internships at Geffen Records and Jive Records before achieving a significant breakthrough after connecting with producer Hit-Boy via MySpace.
In a notable moment of honesty and vulnerability, Barthe revealed that she attempted suicide in 2010 – an experience which later became the inspiration for her song “My Suicide Note (Intro).” The singer has one brother and comes from Haitian roots through her mother.
