About Sophia Aguiar
Sophia Aguiar is a dancer born on August 5, 1988, in Florida. She is best known for her work as a backup dancer for R&B and pop artists such as Ne-Yo and Britney Spears. Aguiar also performed with Katy Perry, Jason Derulo, Justin Timberlake, and Usher at various music and television awards ceremonies.
After graduating from high school in Florida, she moved to Los Angeles where she was chosen to perform with Beyonce in the music video for “Get Me Bodied” and at the MTV Video Music Awards.
In addition to her dancing career, Aguiar played a small role in the 2011 film Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. She grew up in Miami with her four siblings as the children of Maria and Ray Aguiar. In early 2008, she began a relationship with fellow dancer David Moore.
