About Sonia Clarke
Sonia Clarke, born on June 21, 1968 in London, England, is a British DJ and singer known professionally as Sonique. She gained widespread recognition for her platinum album “Hear Me Cry,” with its chart-topping single “It Feels So Good.” Prior to her success, she kicked off her music career in 1985 by founding the band Fari.
In addition to her solo work, Sonique collaborated with the group S’Express and played a significant role in the production of their second album. Her contributions led to a BRIT Award win in 2001.
Family-wise, Sonique grew up in Crouch End alongside her two siblings and hails from Trinidadian descent.
