About Soley
Soley (born October 20, 1987) is an Icelandic folk singer and multi-instrumentalist. Full name Soley Stefansdottir, she has released solo studio albums titled We Sink and Ask the Deep, and previously performed with a band called Seabear.
Before gaining fame as a musician, Soley was a student of classical and jazz piano. She then attended the Icelandic Art Academy to study composition.
In addition to her work in indie folk and pop music, she released a strictly piano album called Kromantik in 2014.
Her father is a trombone player and music teacher, while both her younger brother and sister are instrumentalists themselves. In March 2014, Soley had a daughter with her boyfriend Heoinn.
