About Sofia Gomez Uribe
Sofia Gomez Uribe, born on April 15, 1992 in Pereira, Colombia, is a professional diver known for her multiple world records in freediving and numerous championship trophies in various diving events. With a following of over 400,000 on Instagram, she shares photos from her diving expeditions and other aspects of her life.
Uribe attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary School and graduated in 2008. She began training for diving in 2001 and achieved her first medal at the National Sports Games in relay events. In 2014, she competed at the Pan-American games where she secured first place in the dynamic apnea with equipment event.
In addition to her achievements at various competitions such as placing first at the Vertical Blue competition held in Long Island, Bahamas in 2016; Uribe has received three separate Pan American titles and one South American title.
