About Sofi Mkheyan
Sofi Mkheyan is an award-winning American songstress born on April 8, 1984 in Yerevan, Armenia. She rose to fame in 2008 with the release of her debut album Kyanqe Qo, which featured the hit single “Ore Yev Nerkan”, winning Hit of the Year at the 2007 Armenian National Awards.
Before her musical career took off, Sofi graduated from Romanos Melikian College and continued her studies at Yerevan State Conservatory.
In addition to her music career, she became a judge on the singing competition series The Voice of Armenia in 2012.
Sofi’s father’s name is Gagik Mkheyan.
