About Snejana Onopka
Snejana Onopka is a Ukranian supermodel known for her appearances on magazine covers such as Harper’s Bazaar, Elle Ukraine, and multiple international editions of Vogue. She has walked the runway for renowned designers including Pierre Balmain, ISABEL MARANT, and Anna Sui.
Her modeling career began when she was scouted at age 15 while living in Kyiv, leading to her appearance in fall ad campaigns for Prada and Dolce & Gabbana four years later. This propelled her into further success which included landing on two covers of Italian Vogue the same year.
In 2005, she made her runway debut by closing the Marc by Marc Jacobs show and opening shows for Dolce & Gabbana and Karl Lagerfeld.
Outside of her professional life, Onopka had a previous engagement with politician Oleksandr Onyshchenko in 2009 before marrying businessman Mykola Shchur in 2011. The couple divorced in 2020 following allegations that he had been physically abusive throughout their marriage.
