About Sneha Kapoor
Sneha Kapoor, born on April 18, 1986 in Bengaluru, India, is an Indian dancer and choreographer known by her nickname “The Indian Salsa Princess.” She gained international recognition after winning the Australian Salsa Classic and European Salsa Masters competitions in 2007.
Before pursuing a career in dance, Kapoor aspired to be an athlete and competed in track and field events such as the 100-meter sprint and long jump. However, she soon discovered her natural talent for dance and began taking classes at Lourd Vijay’s Dance Studio in Bangalore.
Kapoor rose to fame as a contestant on the third season of India’s Dance India Dance. While she was a favorite to win, she was unexpectedly eliminated from the competition in January 2012.
She comes from a close-knit family background, having been raised with her twin sister Neha by their parents Elizabeth and Sunil in Bangalore.
