About Sirusho
Sirusho, born on January 7, 1987 in Yerevan, Armenia, is a pop singer known for her soulful and Armenian pop-folk music. She gained international recognition after representing Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with her song “Qele-Qele,” which placed in the top five. In 2012, her song “PreGomesh” earned her three World Music Award nominations.
Before rising to fame, Sirusho started performing at age seven and quickly made a name for herself in both Armenia and Canada’s Armenian diaspora music scene. Adding to her artistic pursuits, she founded Pregomesh – a jewelry line that offers silver handmade collections combining new trends with old Armenian traditions.
Born into an artistic family – with a father who is a renowned actor and stage director of the Armenian Dramatic Theatre and mother being a famous singer – it seems only fitting that Sirusho would follow their footsteps into the world of entertainment.
