Simone Kirby (born October 28, 1976) is an Irish TV actress known for her roles in several popular series and films. She gained recognition for portraying Mary Malone in the HBO series His Dark Materials and for her role as Irene O’Donnell in Peaky Blinders. Additionally, she played Bibi Melnick in Hidden Assets and appeared in films such as Artemis Fowl, The Hole in the Ground, and Alice Through the Looking Glass.
Kirby’s career began with her first screen role in the 2005 series Pure Mule. Notably, she portrayed Oonagh in Ken Loach’s film Jimmy’s Hall in 2014 and co-wrote and performed on the RTE comedy sketch show Meet Your Neighbours in 2011.
