She is a 6-time WNBA All-Star, 4-time WNBA Champion, and 3-time Olympic gold medalist. Swoopes made history as the first player to sign with the WNBA upon its establishment in 1996 and spent much of her career with the Houston Comets.
Prior to her professional career, Swoopes achieved success at Texas Tech University where she was part of The Lady Raiders team that won an NCAA Championship in 1993.
