About Sharon Irving
Sharon Irving is a soul singer who rose to fame competing on the tenth season of the NBC reality competition series America’s Got Talent. Born on November 4, 1986, in Chicago, Illinois, she also has a talent for poetry and released the spoken word EP Simplicity in 2010.
Prior to her rise to stardom, Irving worked as a worship leader while attending North Park University to earn a degree in communication. She was also a featured vocalist on the university’s spoken word album. Additionally, she served as a worship leader for Willow Creek Community Church and led worship alongside fellow singer Darlene Zschech.
Irving comes from a musical family; her father Robert Irving III was a jazz musician and music director for Miles Davis. Her younger brother Jeremy, known by his stage name Jeremiah Jae, is also involved in the music industry as a producer.
