Sharifah Aini, born on July 2, 1953 in Singapore, was a renowned pop singer known for her significant influence on Malaysian entertainment over several decades. With a career that spanned numerous albums totaling more than seventy, she left an indelible mark on the industry. In 1968, she rose to fame by winning the Bintang RTS talent contest with her rendition of “Tiga Malam.” Referred to as “Biduanita Negara” (National Songstress) in Malaysia, Sharifah Aini’s impact and contributions were widely recognized and celebrated. She was briefly married to Ali Bakar from 1981 to 1982 and has a son named Aliff Omar Ali.
