About Sarah Good
Sarah Good (July 21, 1653 – July 19, 1692) was a resident of the Massachusetts Bay Colony who became a victim of the rampant witchcraft accusations that preceded the infamous Salem Witch Trials of 1692. She was hanged for her alleged crimes.
Good and two other women, Sarah Osborne and Tituba, were initially accused of witchcraft by teenagers Abigail Williams and Betty Parris. Due to her poverty-stricken and homeless status at the end of her life, as well as her disagreeable nature that made her feared by fellow Salem residents, she was an easy target for such accusations.
Born in Wenham, Massachusetts to Elizabeth and John Solart, Good bore daughters named Dorothy and Mercy with William Good after the death of her first husband Daniel Poole.
